About the Mission
Kenya-Thai diplomatic relations started when the Government of Thailand opened the Royal Thai Embassy in Nairobi in 1967. A Kenyan Consulate was opened in Bangkok in 1992 and, in October 2006, the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya was opened in Thailand.
Since then, Kenya and Thailand have deepened economic, commercial, cultural and trade co-operation. The two countries have taken advantage of the cordial relations to enhance co-operation in various fields.
Kenya is the largest economy in East Africa and has a wide range of lucrative opportunities for investment in agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and industry among others. It is also a source market for many high quality products, especially in the agricultural sector. The Embassy is happy to provide information on these opportunities and products.
The Embassy also issues visas to persons visiting Kenya and provides consular services to Kenyans living in Thailand as well as the other countries that the Embassy serves namely, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Vietnam.
Our mission is to advance the interests of Kenya through innovative diplomacy in the countries of accreditation.
